Integrative therapy as defined by the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy "can be distinguished from eclecticism by its determination to show there are significant connections between different therapies, which may be unrecognised by their exclusive proponents. While remaining respectful to each approach, integrative psychotherapy draws from many sources in the belief that no one approach has all the truth. The therapeutic relationship is the vehicle for experience, growth and change. It aims to hold together the dual forces of disintegration and integration, as presented by the psychologically distressed and disabled. The integrative therapeutic experience leads towards a greater tolerance of life’s experiences and an increase of creativity and service."

The focus of my practice is to work with clients to cross the gap between just about OK to being fulfilled. I help my clients to reach the outcomes they want,go towards the dreams they desire and to achieve a balance within them that is full of feelings of joy and happiness.I have been coaching and counseling people via phone and in person since the 1990's. My professional training and experience are complemented by my intuition, allowing me to sense where my clients are and to help them get to where they want to go.My clients have described me as a creative, caring, open, intuitive and focused psychotherapist and coach. I am constantly striving to find and develop ways to assist people in healing their past, live in their present, and face the challenges of their future. I am most inspired when my clients are able to change their lives, move in new and progressive directions, and achieve balance, love, clarity and joy.

Positive Psychology focuses on the empirical study of such things as positive emotions, strengths-based character, and healthy institutions. His research has demonstrated that it is possible to be happier — to feel more satisfied, to be more engaged with life, find more meaning, have higher hopes, and probably even laugh and smile more, regardless of one’s circumstances. Positive psychology interventions can also lastingly decrease depression symptoms. The research underlying these rigorously tested interventions is presented in the July/August 2005 edition of the American Psychologist, the journal of the American Psychology Association.

Autogenic Training for example is a useful tool to trigger the body's self healing; or learning to reconnect mind and body to inner peace through profound relaxation and releasing accumulated stress; or using Psychotherapy as a safe place to explore the healing of personal issues affecting your relationships and quality of life. The Holistic addresses imbalance and disease by stimulating the healing potential available within us, rather than simply overriding the body's symptoms through the use of powerful drugs.
